T Magazine, the New York Times’ style title that is also sometimes confusingly called The Moment, published an online editorial yesterday called Common Thugs. Ostensibly tied to the ludicrous and highly-publicized “Stop the Sag” campaign, the photos addressed the resurgence of baggy clothes among high-end menswear designers, referencing early 90′s hip-hop and classic streetwear shapes. Really, it takes clothes like this to show how much skinny jeans and cropped suits have saturated the market in recent years — enough that these saggy shapes in streetwear really look like a throwback. Women We Love: Marion Cotillard

Full disclosure: I’ve never actually seen any of Marion Cotillard’s movies, English language or otherwise. But, I have seen the explosion of adorable that was her Academy Award acceptance speech for “La Vie en Rose,” in which she thanked life and love as if they were her agent and manager, and it was enough to convince me that I pretty much love her. And if your heart doesn’t melt after the portion of her 2007 interview with Lynn Hirshberg where she discusses fireworks, you might want to consult a physician to make sure you still have one beating inside your chest, you cold bastard.

In the years since, her grasp of the English language has improved significantly, but here’s to hoping she doesn’t get any Muzzy tapes for Christmas, because her broken speech is really quite endearing.

(capsule) New York is officially a wrap for the season, but if you weren’t one of the lucky thousands to make it to the show this year, you can thank filmmaker and avid style blogger Jake Davis for bringing a taste of the show to the un-Quoddy’d masses. For two days at (capsule) at the Angel Orensanz Foundation on the Lower East Side, Jake filmed attendees whose personal style caught his eye exclusively for T Magazine. Those who sat for screen tests include Jockum Hallin of Our Legacy (above), Supreme mastermind Brendon Babenzien, and the very cute Tanya Romero. Watch them all at T.
