What did you do today, Steve?
Oh, you know, nothing special. Went to work, met some friends for drinks, fell asleep on my couch while eating a Popsicle. What about you, Olivier Zahm?
Nothing special, either. Photographed some topless women in bondage gear, hung out with Chloe Sevigny, had Terry Richardson take my picture, danced with Aurel Schmidt at the Jane, went to the YSL Resort show and high-fived Stefano Pilati and Bjork, convinced some underage LES hipster girl to wear a peace sign t-shirt and take her picture between two tractor trailers on the West Side Highway, flew first class with Annabelle Dexter-Jones and Terrence Koh so we could have lunch on a Parisian rooftop with Alexandra Richards, got drunk at Elaine’s (with Elaine) and then spent the rest of the night in Andre Balazs’ penthouse sexting with Marina Abramovic. It was kind of dull, actually.
Hmm. Goodnight.
I like sunglasses. A lot. And I’m aware that somewhere along the line, this blog has somehow essentially devolved into a log of sunglasses and music that I like. And even though I haven’t posted in awhile and would have preferred to kick off my first post in June with something a little more unique, I can’t help but love these beaded Lyndels from Mosley Tribes. Hypebeast tells us that each of the ceramic beads on the temples of these glasses are hand-laid, which is a nice touch that’s sure to drive up the price a bit, and I do wonder how well they’ll all stay attached after continual wear and tear. But, they’re still on my list to check out in person when they hit Oliver Peoples boutiques next month. Suede fringed jacket optional.
